You're right, but it took 6-1/2 years as a registered Scouter and a trip
to Philmont to finally get me to stop smoking. I just simply resigned myself
to the fact that I wasn't going to carry two cartons of cigarettes all around
the backcountry out there. Haven't touched a cigarette since the day before
our contingent got there and don't miss them most of the time, but that
doesn't mean I don't get the occasional urge.
It can be done, but it ain't easy. It just took Scouting to do it for me.
