Laurie Burnaby's response got me thinking. It is not unreasonable to
expect a scout to put together a well thought out, grammatically correct
document when a written report is called for. It is, however, not ok to
require a written report in lieu of a discussion when the requirement is
"discuss with your counselor . . ." Does (should) the MB counselor apply
the same standard to the discussion that is applied to a written report?
When the scout starts out with "Me and my buddy . . . " I have difficulty
hearing the rest of the sentence and usually have to ask "Who?"
