I have been with several troops while serving in the Armed Forces. Many of
them preferred the Mr. or Mrs. <First Name>.
Because certain last names may be difficult for the boys to pronounce, each
unit I have served with has made the allowance of first names. We always
desire the boys to understand the difference between adult staff and youth,
so the appropriate title (normally Mr/Mrs) is always used before the name.
By the way, how do you pronounce Tjosvold? :)
I used to be an OWL NE-VI-19
I used to be a Staffer SR-254
Mr. Jeff asked,
Another how does your Troop do it? Do the Scouts of your Troop refer to
the adult leaders by their first names or their sir names?
