I like the boys showing respect by calling me by my last name. AND I kinda
don't mind the Mr. address to the boys.
I figure if we ask them to show respect to us with the use of Mr./Mrs. with
a last name then us doing the same shows that we respect them. Especially
the older youth.
Also, there is the popular first name issue. At the present time we have in
our troop four Seans, two Jeffreys, two Nicks, two Scotts (three if you count
Using a last name with Mr. not only shows our respect for them but keeps
things straight. For them to use our last names helps since we have in our
troop two adults named Kathy and no less than three men named Jim. (In our
district we have two SM's named JIM, a Cubmaster named JIM, an Eagle Board
chair named JIM, and a program chair named JIM. Without the use of last
names it gets real ugly around here <<LOL>>.)
