Actually, AFAIK, Troopmaster and the other programs DO treat it
I haven't looked at all of them, but the ones I've reviewed just ask you
to enter the date that each merit badge is earned, information (dates,
etc.) on the various troop activities and camping trips, positions held
and dates for those positions, and the date each of the other
requirements are completed.
Then they look at how many of the required badges have been earned, and
how many badges total have been earned. If both numbers equal or exceed
the requirement, they mark the requirement as complete. Once all
requirements for a rank are complete, they flag the record for a board
I'm working on a spreadsheet for checking Eagle Applications, that was
developed in Phoenix, and those calcs are built in properly.
