You are indeed blessed with a creative an adventurous troop! Now your mission is to keep them interested! That will be no mean feat! You may just have to go that extra step to keep them interested. You didn't mention their ages. If they are 13 or so, now is the time to get them backpacking. After hiking 8 to 10 miles, they may not have all that much energy to get into trouble, but have a goal in mind. Maybe a cool fly fishing spot, or a neat water hole to swim in. I would guess that they may just be getting into trouble because there is nothing else to do.
I had a patrol like that and we had them build log forts. I told them that it would be more sturdy if they used lashings, and we taught them a few, guess what? They spent the rest of the afternoon lashing everything in sight! They build some pretty neat forts in the process too!
By the way, my best Scribe, ever, was one of the worse kids in that patrol. I wouldn't trade any of them for a well behaved patrol because they forced me to think outside of the box.
