Well, my troop puts out the word that we leave at 5:30 on Friday. In
reality, this means we leave by 6:30. Yes, we're all experts at putting
up tents in the dark. In fact, we joke that if we ever had to put up a
tent while it was light, we'd have to put blindfolds on, or at least close
our eyes to do it correctly. <VBG>
As for returning, we alternate between one of two options. We either pack
up and get out as quick as possible, or we hang around for a while having
fun, doing requirements, hiking, etc.
As for cooking, our adults eat seperately from our kitchen known as "The
Porch" or "Cafe Carbon" (say it with a French Accent) To ensure that the
Patrols menus stay up to par, we have a competition for the best
dinner. Each Patrol presents the SM with a (small) plate of food
consisting of their meal, and he grades them and presents a prize (a cheap
wooden spoon) to the winning patrol the following Troop meeting. And, we
have a requirement that the winning meal must contain a protein, a
carbohydrate (like bread) and a vegatable.

Coffee is the most important meal of the day.
