First, apologies in advance:
To those of you who have seem previous posts from me, I apologise
for repeating more or less the same thing. I realize that the purpose of
Scouts-L is discussion, and that multiple posts like this one are borderline
On the other hand, each time I send an email to scouts-L, I get a
flood (between 15 and 50 responses) of positive feedback and useful
suggestions, and of course, many new camps. And it's different people every
time. That is why I am using bandwidth right now.
There are 367 camps currently listed (the initial growth spurt has
leveled off to a steady rate of about 2 camps per day). The latest
improvements have been the addition of a new topographic mapping service,
and lat/lon coordinates added for about 1/3 of the camps (this allows
pinpoint accuracy for the online maps).
So, if you have no idea what the previous paragraphs are talking
about, click on:
And hopefully find some new places to camp. And, of course, add your
troop's favorite spot if it isn't already listed.
