scouts-l Mail Archive for March of 2000: Re: Communications

In addition to egroups.com, people should also check out onelist.com.
A bunch of us 40-somethings who were all from the same fraternity in
college started corresponding by e-mail, and eventually needed a service to
maintain the mailing list. We tried egroups.com for a while, then decided
to switch to onelist.com for reasons that I no longer remember (and which
may have been remedied by egroups by this time). I'm not claiming that
onelist.com is currently any better than egroups.com -- only that it is an
alternative that people might want to consider.
(They are very similar -- you get a 3-line ad attached to each email, plus
banner ads at the site. Archives at the site, plus an upload area where
you can park, e.g., jpeg's of recent soirees.)
