I don't see that would *necessarily* follow. If I knew myself innocent,
I might very well tell you to take a long hike off a short pier. Wasn't
it Ben Franklin who said, Those will trade their liberties for security
will have neither? And isn't American (and British) jurisprudence based
on "innocent until proven guilty"? Not to mention that nasty little 5th
Amendment in the US Constitution (I don't know what clause it is in the
British) about self-incrimination.
