Waterproof ground sheets are a must. Closed cell foam pads are
recommended. Warm sleeping bag or bag with inner liner. An extra blanket
is sometimes also good to sleep on. The more insulation between you and
the ground is best, less heat lost through conduction.

The smoother the interior walls, the less likely you will encounter drips.
Smooth the walls so there aren't any drip points.
