I agree totally. Not long ago I told of the small piece in Scouting about
an Eagle Scout receiving a National award for an Eagle project that was a
fundraiser, which is one of the only things explicitly prohibited as a
project. Scouting Magazine is the OFFICIAL magazine of the BSA. It is
certainly more widely read than any BSA publication (after a long day at
work I know of few scouters (outside of a few who post here :-) who relax
with a copy of BSA rules and regs. The prize winning photo? okay publish it
for it's photographic merits, but, it seem to me like a great opportunity to
also teach the safety issues!
