This is similar to what Cub Foods and Target (department store) does for folks
in the community here....although I've seen lots of schools take advantage
of the program here, I haven't seen any Scouting units in the Twin Cities
take advantage of the program. (If so, I would have dropped my receipts
into their bin).
At Cub Foods, they don't give a card but rather have the folks to drop their
receipts into specially marked bins labeled with the organization or
school's name. At Target, they provide a special card similar to Albertson's.
I don't see a problem with this, Bob, if your Council doesn't have a problem
Some Councils would rather approach Albertson, Target and Cub and seek
funding for ALL of the units in that Council; others would not see a problem
with it and would allow units to raise monies that way.
I would definately check with your Council first, just to make sure....
