You know. . . .even though Bob was being humorous, this is an idea that is
worth exploring. I know that somewhere I have read about an "Old Goat
Camporee" which is for adults only, and begins to address this need. My
personal problem is that my next free weekend (i.e., no scouting, Rotary,
family, or college reuinion events) is June 24. I have the next weekend
free and one in July. So that's 3 weekends between now and Labor Day -- and
we're not taking a family vacation this summer between a professional
conference, the Troop summer trip, Summer camp and staffing the JLTC course!
So. . . Bob, if you can figure out how to get me an extra weekend, we can
go camping. It's not far from Bridgeport to Valley Stream!
