Had the pack. Used it on many a campout. But when I got the chance to
trade it in for a pack with a (external) frame (revolutionary back in
1970), I did so gladly....
It would be more expensive than the good old Yucca pack, and I have fond
memories of it (pack the towels against the back for padding...), but I'd
get him an inexpensive external frame pack if it was affordable.
