Are you looking for a "Food Dehydrator" to help prepare
food for Backpacking and save money by doing it yourself ?
I received a mail-order sale catalog this week from
"The Sportsman's Guide - Spring 2000 Camping & Outdoor
Gear Close-Outs" in it they're selling a Dehydrator with
an ad that reads:

The 100w whisper-quiet forced-air fan dries food 3 times faster
than conventional fan-free units. This dehydrator is made of
tough polystyrene plastic with an aluminum/steel coil heating
element, use standard current and is UL-listed. Trays stack
for easy use. Measures 8" x 13-1/2"w and weighs 7-1/4 lbs.
Allow about 1 hour extra drying time for each additional Tray.
Comes with full instructions and recipes.

CX0C-23497 - Deluxe 8-Tray Dehydrator Kit - 4-Tray Dehydrator

I have nothing to do with this company or their sales. I'm just
