Last week there was a thread on fund-raising and someone wrote about distributing the profits based on hours worked. Unfortunately, I have lost the specific note and email address of the person who posted that response.
Our troop is considering doing something like this. For anyone who has experience with this, could you email me with the pros and cons of such a system as well as the specifics of how you manage the process. I am particularly interested in the "rules and requirements" set up for an individual boy and his family to participate and allocate funds. For example, do you require minimum ticket sales by a boy for an event as well as hours worked in order to receive "profit" money in the Scout's account? Do you have rules in writing and do they change for each event IE number of tickets/hours required, etc.?
