Yes, I asked for the Philmont Training Center year 2000 schedule earlier
today. I thought that was what this list was for, to ask for, receive, and
My Council Training Chairman asked me, the District Training Chairman of our
largest district, if I had the schedule. So much for Mike Mc Abee's
suggestion to contact the Council Training Committee.
As far as Scouting magazines March/April issue, or later, that would give
me the schedule for next year and I was looking for the year 2000, not 2001.
Either way I needed the information today, not when a magazine showed up.
*Thank You* to all the helpful scouters out there who sent me the web pages
and information from Mark at Philmont, and the information that I requested.
With comments like this (above) I can understand why more scouters do not
ask questions of the list. I don't know what position this scouter is in,
but I know I wouldn't want him to be running a troop that my son was in. He
broke many of the Scout Laws when he e-mailed myself and the list. He
obviously has never been to WB and does not know to use his resources.
As far as the telephone being busy at the council office, I was on the phone
yesterday with the professionals at the office at least three times and it
never busy. I'm not sure I understand what was meant by that remark. Should
we not be using computers or e-mail, and therefore not be on this list, and
not use this as a resource?

Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.
I would say Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, and Kind were thrown to the wind,
and maybe more depending on how you take his message.
I am sending this to the list as he responded to the list. I believe proper
would have him send it directly to me. I apologize for the use of the
Normally I could let this go, but I deal with enough parents who want to
Does it have to be here on this list, too?
