Do not vote by 'show of hands' . Scouts can be intimidated to vote
for the 'politically correct' choice for their age group, patrol, whatever.
As indicated by your comment later that the Scouts apparently voted
by age group.
And if you do a paper ballot, the Scouters won't have to worry about
who voted for who(whom?), ...and neither will the boys.
Of course, YMMV.
