Lots of posts about Webelos and when to bridge them, but I have a different
situation here in Houston. The DD and I did a rally last week at a
church/school that had a unit that folded a year or 2 ago. We ended up with
12 first graders 1 3rd grader and 1 10 1/2 year old 5th grader. The DD
announced that because it was March already, the first graders would go ahead
and start on their Bobcat and work towards Wolf and forgo the Tiger program.
He advised them to go ahead and purchase blue uniforms, etc. and the Wolf
book. We are holding another rally focusing on the 3rd and 5th grades next
week, but he told the older boys parent he would put him in the Troop if he
didn't get enough boys for a Webelos Patrol.
He get's a paycheck so I figure he can make adjustments to the program better
than I. That's why they pay him the big bucks, right? Any thoughts?
