Sorry - I can't agree - email cannot and should not be the means for
communications in a unit, for the simple factthat not everyone has or wants a
computer and you can't say, "oh well, for some that may work for them!"
you have to use the simplest comms form to get your message out - that's
paper; if you wisth to add to that - to keep those w/ computers "better:
informed, fine - but you can't say that because they are easier to use that's
the preferred methoid of comms.
I have one and use it for various things, to include a lot of my BSA
activities, but i would never think to use it as the means to communicate in
my troop or to contact commissioners, etc.
I have to check my email more often now due to certain activities I'm
involved in, but even at that, I don't always check daily - I'm just glad I
can't check at work!
If someone wants to use email as an adjunct to other communications
fine, but it can't be the primary means.
