Paul Ferris (the former editor of Scouters' Digest -- that little summary of
information I treasured each month; he summarized and highlighted everything
found in the BSA's official magazines as well as some of the great stuff
found online for "busy Scouters with little time to read") wanted me to once
again describe the basic differences between all of the various Scouting
"paper publications" out there:
Official magazine of BSA. Published six times a year
a.k.a. SCOUTER'S JOURNAL:
Privately published in Kansas City, MO.
Has published six issues since 1994.
Now in financial straits.
Privately published in Marinette,WI. A four page
newsletter published six times a year since 1986.
Recently sold to Honor Publishing.
Paul stated and I agree:
"Believe me, there is still confusion out there."
Thanks, Paul, for the clarification above!
