would I sew that knot on my uniform.>
It seems to me that it just doesn't matter. Not really anyway. The folks
that know the Scouter will know if the award was purchased or not. But, the
fact remains if he has a chest full of knots and that was one of them then
he must be fairly active and has done a lot for Scouting. If that is the
only knot upon his chest than Scouters will see him for what he is.
I would rather offer the "Award" and get the $1,000 dollars into my council.
I have several "earned the hard way knots" that I choose not to wear. The
only two I wear on my uniform are my religious and my AOL. That is my
preference. People that know me know what I have done or what I actively
do. As far as I am concerned, let's go out and sell a great big "BUNCH" of
them. All it will do is help our local boys and our local program.
