They do have the power, at the next election cycle.

We have all seen Scouts "...stay in office and do a poor job..."
Do we jump in there and "advise" the boys to immediately replace him ??
( Worrying about his individual rank requirement is probably a subject
for a different thread.)

I probably agree with this comment. It will be proven by the quality
of their next elected SPL.

Again, we have all (probably) been there, done that. But again, do we
"advise" the boys to correct the problem now or do we let them 'live with
their mistake'--whether they realize it or not ??
I guess I just don't see how allowing them to dump the SPL, whether they
have the power to or not, really addresses this particular situation or the
that will come up in the future. I guess I would expect other members of
the PLC to step up and carry the program forward for a short time period.
