I say, "Let the training begin!"
I have come to realize that there are two types of
adults involved in Scouts!
Those that act .....
And those who find all the time in the world to drop
off their Scout for a meeting or camp!
If you or I spend too much time in wonder as to who
will become part of the driving force of this fine
Program, we will miss out on time that we could be
packing for that next Training Program!
There are two things that are for sure in this type of
1) If I say I'm going, someone will ask if I can pick
up their son on the way!
2) If I want to get the attention of otherwise
inactive parents, all I have to say is "I don't have
time.....you'll have to intertain him this
Those that want to go will be there! Those that
don't, have excuses as to why not!
Keep Scouting Fun!!!!
Travel with a Buddy! That way if no Scouts show up
(read that: Ha Ha!!!!), your buddy can share the gear
with you! Training is a good excuse to go even when
the Scouts can't!
