It is now time for the West Texas Rendezvous once again. This is a joint
effort of Buffalo Trail, Chisholm Trail, Comanche Trail, and Concho
Valley Councils of West Texas. Northwest Texas Council is also an
honorary 5th Council that hosts this event every 2 years(this is the
third such event) in a National Jamboree style setting. How could you
miss out on such an opportunity to have fun? Besides the 5 Councils
listed above as hosts, there will be Scouting units from South Plains
Council, Longhorn Council, and Heart O' Texas Council. There might be
more, but I don't know which other Councils for sure yet.
The flyers for the event have just become available as of today, so if
you would like to get a copy of the flyer, just drop an e-mail. If your
unit would like to camp for the weekend, there is enough room for
everyone. If you don't want to camp, but want to come down for the day,
there is NO, I repeat, NO entry fee for walkins on Sat. If you want to
camp, there is a $6 pre-registration fee($8 onsite registration) which
includes the event patch(looks great) and activities. The event will be
held again at Hords Creek Lake just outside of Coleman, TX.
Thanks for the read, and I hope to see many of yall there.
