PLEASE READ thus:
With apologies to the banners of the 3G's:

>into some 'universal concept of deity'.
I prefer to think of it as the one true glorious Deity who has
manifested Himself to every race on earth, has established for nearly
every such race a moral code remarkably like the Ten Commandments and
the Golden Rule, and would be universally acclaimed without war or
discord, were it not for the arrogance of individual religionists who
see in their own translation of some ancient document a unique narrow
subset of adoration which must be adopted verbatim by all others
everywhere for them to have it 'right.' So, then, be it God, Gott,
Dieu, Allah, Jehovah, Yahweh, Yhwh, Creator, Kautontowit, Wakan
Tanka, choose your configuration, but believe.
Which makes me some sort of Ecumenical Catholic Traditional, I guess.
