As we are quickly approaching the summer camping season, I have been
invited to several webeloS meetings to discuss with the parents their first
year camping experiance, and promote the camp that their respective troops
have chosen for Summer 2K. I have the usual camp promotion presentation
down, but this year I though I would compile a list of advice specifically
addressing first year camper issues.
So the question is: What was the most important thing that was leared as a
result of sending your son off to summer camp for the first time that you
would have liked to have known about before.
Also: What advice do you have for parents to combat the NFIWMM / home
sickness issues that can arise.
As I have noticed that we are again hitting the 50 message wall, please
send replys to me personally at: firstname.lastname@example.org I will compile a
list with all credit given and post the results to the list because this
info could benefit others.
Thanks, and have a great summer camping season (even if it is a bit early
