I'm a big believer in using recognitions as a motivator. Even if the
Commissioners have not earned the awards mentioned, it doesn't preclude you
from just recognizing them at the dinner, as in having them stand up and
take a bow, etc.
We do a program with several pages including the names of outgoing and
incoming District Committee members, past DA of M and SB recipients, and a
page devoted to the past years Commissioner team and the units they serve.
Also, this year we started a new unit award named after 3 deceased well known
district scouters with the prime focus for earing the award being interaction
with a Commisioner and Roundtable particpation, as well as advancement and
earning the QU award. We have 3 levels of the award for Cubs, BS and Venture
Anything you can do to promote your Comissioners will be great as they often
work behind the scenes.
