Thanks a bunch for the update.
I have a note I will send privately that agrees and disagrees
as appropriate with our man NY-BruceC and agrees yet qualifies
what KU-Pete typed in from the SM-Handbook.
TRAINING of unit ADULTS
and MATURE Unit and District Commissioners is the real problem
you are facing. We long term Scouts-Lrs, document nerds and
geeks take some of this stuff for super obvious YET the real
population of leaders kind of float over the surface to their
own personal experiences and their own needs and wants.
<So, I suppose, in the end this is a win for what is right.
<I wonder, however, if this is a hollow victory - he did not stand
<with his peers. To me that is a shame.
TOO TRAIN an ADULT and even an ENTIRE PACK when you are merely a
boy is this so wrong?? The thing to concentrate on when talking
to him and his family is that through their and your perseverence
a great number of people learned and grew and for a time will do
YiS, IMHO, and may we each attempt to live the SO,SL,SS,SM
