Folks, I'm curious...I've heard/seen other Scouters refer to their initial
involvements in Scouting as their "first and/or second mistake". Is that
really how you feel? Why? Is this what you are telling your friends and
their sons? Even in jest, some people will perceive a hint of truth to your
words. It seems that those of us who do this are sabotaging our own
organization. If you really feel this way, I would be interested in hearing
about what's keeping you involved.
I encourage you to be incredibly positive about your experiences in Scouting
when sharing with friends...you might recruit yourself a new Den Leader,
Assistant Cub/Scoutmaster, or even Commissioner!
