Hey, that's the idea! Send that rotten, power-hungry, insensitive leader to
counseling. The boy WILL grow taller and stronger, particularly IF he does
"just fine" in the water and doesn't drown if he and/or others put him in the
wrong situation. Meanwhile, he moves on knowing - and he DOES know - that he
skated. And one more standard falls a peg or two.
No one should ridicule anyone, especially a Scout. Upholding standards isn't
ridicule unless you make it so. It is teaching as much as a knot
demonstration or a class in first aid.
