Scouters are the BEST, I tell you all!!
Thanks to Bill Sills, who provided the following information to me (and I'm
sure he doesn't mind me sharing it with the Weisenberger family as well as
other Scouters out there interested:)
>Fort Mc Coy is a very popular spot for Scout units. Many of them use
>the facilities as a stop between their homes and the Boundary Waters.
>The Fort offers year 'round activities. Summers get incredibly
>crowded. Some facilities are booked into 2002!!! However, meals are

>Help with commercial facilities is available in Sparta and Tomah.
>The following tourism centres will also help with Fort Mc Coy and the
>Tomah Visitors Bureau
>Sparta Convention & Visitors Bureau

Again, I can always count on a couple of Scouters to help me out in a tight
fix. I couldn't find my copy of the Army Times "Guide to Military
Installations" -- I keep a copy in a binder and I took it to work last week
to help one of my soldiers with some information about Fort Ord (or what
used to be Fort Ord), California.
Thanks again, Bill....
