Hey Ed, if you're out there....
Information is good -- whether we "like" it or not..
But to better understand if there is or is not a "real" issue, some of
the data needs "tweeking" a wee bit more --- THE NUMBER OF YOUTHS/SCOUTS
would perhaps better be presented as a % -- meaning we need to see the
"Numbers of youths in all programs in a year" as a numerator and the
"number of youth eligible for the programs present in that year" as a
1.) Number of youth available at a given in 80+ years (ie baby boomers)
is not constant; and,
2.) Not all programs were up and running at all times (ie Cub scouts not
in place until 1930; and Tiger cubs not in place unitl 1982; and
explorers not in place unitl 1946..etc etc.)--therefore programs are not
Also the DE salaries need adjusted to Cost of Living..... for all years
- in other words the inflation factor needs to be factored "out"
This is a little work, but it would perhaps give a truer "picture" of
