Shame, shame, shame...

On all of us. Ed Dunn was here on the list and he share his viewpoint several
The fact that, in a few of them, he was probably right even though some
didn't like it could hardly be reason for all the bad feeling about him.
But then, perhaps not all of the list members have been around long enough to
see districts make financial goals without getting all the money they were
supposed to. Or make membership goals without increasing or even going DOWN
Ed ran a district that always made goals the legitimate way and he was upset
that he wasn't kept around to move up into a better position instead of being
forced to stay with other professionals who made their goals because the SE
needed them to make their goals.
And while his insights were sometimes quite mean to some of us or the
program, the were inside views that not all professionals are Scouters, even
if they are registered as such. For that matter, not all volunteers are
So everyone who batted heads with him once or twice or more, and especially
those who did it publicly on this list, hang your heads for at least a second
and realize that a viewpoint we need -- even if some disliked it because it
didn't meet their opinions -- is gone.
