Tin Can Cook Kits

My dad always claimed that his platoon in Korea (SSGT, USMC,1951) often had
hot food when others didn't because he learned to make and use cook gear
from tin cans when he was a second class scout (1939). I have learned to
take that statement even more seriously when I reflected that he was only in
Korea for two months, receiving a purple heart and bronze star during the
battler of the Chosin Reservoir.
