Recently I, as scoutmaster, have been having some philosophical
differences with some of our ASM's about how much help to provide
to the scouts in the area of requesting and setting up times for
SM conferences and Boards of Review. I take a hard line that the
scout should do all the arranging while some of the ASMs for the
newer scouts suggest if we don't help them then they may leave
Any thoughts? We certainly don't want them to leave scouting; but
on the other hand isn't that a big part of scouting to learn these

BTW, Thank all of you who provided responses about scout camps in
the Colorado area. It will give our PLC something to consider.
