Sorry Joe, but you are wrong. The above park, mission, and fort, are all
owned by the State of Texas and operated by the Texas Parks & Wildlife Dept.
or The Texas Historical Society. In the Compromise of 1850 - Texas
retained control of all its public lands, when the US Government and
President Tyler decided to annex the then Texas Territory. There are a
number of Federal installations in Texas, NASA, Military Bases, Federal
Buildings, etc... Yet the federal government has had to buy or trade
something for every piece of land.
