Here are four examples provided by the two most recent scouts to
achieve Eagle from my unit and the two scouts presently working on
their projects to complete their climb to Scouting's highest rank:
1. Chris organized the scouts in the troop to help him distribute
fliers in the neighborhood of a local church asking for donations of
usable baby furniture and toys, and then pick-up those items put out
for collection. These donations would be used to set-up a nursery at
the church. The scouts also cleared out the room, washed and painted
walls, cleaned the carpet and helped set up the nursery.
2. Sandon used donated wood and the manpower of the boys in the troop
provide the local high school art department with 15 new drawing
3.Chuck will organize scouts and scouters to help him provide and
plant 5 new trees around the local elementary school, where we hold
our weekly meetings.
4. Brian is working with the parish elementary school to provide them
with new playground equipment. He will solicit bids based on a plan
provided by the school. Review, and organize these bids, then present
his results to the parish council. He and scouts from my unit and
others will then assist in the installation of this equipment.
Just four of the most recent ideas, hope this helps.
