Maybe nothing for your troop, but for Troop 30 (the main one I work with) in
Houston it would mean alot! We do 11 weekend type campouts each year plus
one full week of summer camp in July. We do summer camp at a Council Camp.
Every other campout is on private land with one exception of using the
National Forest for our rifle and shotgun campout in December. The SM and 2
of the SA's own tracts of land that we use. We canoe and raft from bases set
on the private land and we clear timber for pioneering projects also.
I wonder if this idea of national's isn't a little too much micro-managing.
They can't even get their computers running and they worry about where we
