Some other folks had said the 6 month requirement is fuzzy, but on face
value it really isn't. It requires activity with the patrol. If doesn't
say weekly, monthly or daily, it's just activity with the patrol.
Activity with the scout troop, the 4-H, his family or even the marines
is not activity w/ the patrol. (Ok I might give him a cut him a little
slack if he completed boot camp...) What is of more concern is the time.
Does she want her son signed off now? The school year ended in June.
Middle of December is the earliest the kid will have had six months go
by before he can get signed off, active with the patrol or not.
BTW: It's only two months, actually about 6 weeks till most packs have a
B&G after the 6 months are done. ( Mid Feb.) This is usually cross over
