With regard to, a traditional AOL ceremony that I've seen twice. The Webelos
and the younger cubs really got a charge out of this ceremony.
The ceremony consisted of one Indian chief with the story of the brave that
went to the top of the mountain. (Sound familiar?) But after the story
the AOL recepients were giving a challenge to continue through Scouting,
after the challenge the recepients drank "Buffalo's blood" to demonstrate
their bravery against any challenges.
I know the "blood" was artificial and was even hastily given the ingredients.
The "Buffalo's blood", I believe was watered down Karo syrup & food
I do not remember exactly if that was the entire ingredients or portions.
Has anyone seen a similar challenge to end the story, and does anyone know
the ingredients for the fake "Buffalo's blood"? Thanks.
