Neal I have one of these fittings and use it pretty frequently to refill
the smaller tanks. The directions say to only fill for one minute, after
chilling the bottle. I have some older bottles that leak a little, when I
find them or notice they have leaked down over a couple weeks I discard
them. I would not store them inside an inhabited building or any place
that might have any type of equipment that could spark. I wouldn"t store
my BBQ Grill Tank or Gasoline in those palces either!.
As with anything I am sure there is a law someplace prohibiting refilling,
I saw one post that warned against a federal law prohibitng tranportation.
I agree we must obey the law. It is more important that we obey saftey for
our boys while using common sense and trusting in our own abilities and
judgements to interpret and apply what others think we must do.
