RE: Special Touch, Our B&G's feature a Cub Cooking Competition. A cake
bake with awards for top places in a) Best Scouting Theme Cake; b)
Smallest, Largest or biggest solid Cake from 1 recipe; c) Best Cinema Theme
Cake; etc. Or, other competitions based on creative portraits with edible
fruits & vegies made to look like an animal, leader, or whatever.
RE: Foods, Our B&G's feature meats furnished by the packs, and families of
each den provide a potluck assortment of specific items: Tigers-Deserts,
Wolves-Salads, Bears-Casseroles, Webelos-Vegetables (these are reassigned
based on numbers of boys/families per den against the needs for the year's
RE: Turning back the Clock: Have a committee member collect photos of your
current leaders when they were say age 3 to 7. Post them unlabelled and
have the Cubs have a contest in seeing how many they can correctly identify.
