The first thing you need to do is get the elephant to sit
through Fast Start. That will give him a basic
understanding of his role as an elephant. Then you need to
get the hunter to sit through the same session so he
understands what the elephant thinks he's supposed to do.
Then you get the hunter to attend Hunter Basic. This can be
held during a one-day session or over two evenings. Pay
particular attention to the Purposes and Methods of Elephant
Hunting. One of your best trainers should be the one to
present the portion called "What is Elelphant Hunting." Be
sure to include an opportunity for EPT (elephant protection
