It can be done, I tried to do it a few years ago. The seal around the valve
always, always leaked. I think we figured that it was costing about .75 to
fill up one bottle, and it took about 10 min. for each bottle. We gave up
doing it because of the leaks and the trouble. Also we had been told of a
man that blew his house up because of the leaking bottles.
Good Luck, and now might be a good time to update that home owners policy!
