Well, friends, I am off to Scoutmaster Fundamentals this weekend,
where I have been 'volunteered' to cook breakfast, teach foil dinners
for lunch, and teach the PLC and training boy leaders sessions. Joy
the world (actually).
Any doubt in my mind that this is a Scout outing weekend was removed
when I awakened this morning to rain. We got a little sun mid-day,
but now that it's time to go get organized (5) in anticipation of the
few or many as the case may be participants (who never seem to
register in advance) who will show up at 7. Quick nose count and off
to buy the groceries.
Potatoes are cheap.
Eggs & sausage for breakfast (cholesterol menu) for a a cold morning
kick-start. And Burton's special coffee (1/3 French Roast & 2/3
Columbian with a smidgeon of Toscanna brewed strong enough to dilute
to taste and temp. If it isn't black, and I do mean black, it isn't
coffee. In fact when you pour it the stream should be black, not
pale. Speaking of kick starts.
Pray for the participants. I'll be fine. <G>
Eat your hearts out, gang, I'm gonna be wallowing in the out of doors.
