Whatever he's comfortable with.

I'd go farther than that. I'd tell him that I don't really care _if_ he
wears them or not, but I don't want to know and neither does anyone else.
Of course, I'm a little tired of this subject right now; at last weekend's
campout underware was a popular topic of conversation.
