I does not seem fair that if the Troop or Pack earns all the money they
need to operate the program that the Charter Organization owns their
gear. If the Troop/Pack bought these things with their own money+ADs- not
money supplied by the CO, why is it not the Troop/Packs property?
Our units have enough money to operate their entire program for the
year. CO mostly just pays charter fees. We have our own building and it
is not on CO's property.
A lot of the Troop gear has been donated to the Troop or bought by the
Troop with money earned from fundraisers.
Why is this so? It is not reasonable that CO can take Troop/Pack
property away if they no longer sponsor the unit.
Just my .02 worth.
