Dan Moser asked about Historic Trails in Washington, D.C.
In fact, there are three that I know of as follows:
1. The President's Trail with options for 8.0, 9.5, and 11.0 mile
courses leading to the earning of the President's Trail medal or patch.
2. The Lincoln Pilgrimage with options for 7.5 and 11.5 mile courses
leading to the earning of the Lincoln Pilgrimage medal or patch.
3. The National Capital Bicentennial Trail of Freedom with options for
6.5, 7.2, and 9.5 mile courses leading to the earning of the National
Capital Bicentennial Trail of Freedom medal or patch.
I got this information from American Historic Trails, P.O. Box 769,
Monroe, N.C. 28110. All of their brochures are marked "Approved by
B.S.A." with the BSA logo.
Send me a note off list and I will provide you with more information if
you need it.
